Conservatives to form minority administration on East Sussex County Council

The Conservatives have said they will form a minority administration on East Sussex County Council.

The party lost control of the authority following the elections on 2 May.

They have 20 councillors, five short of an absolute majority. The party said it will form a cabinet at the first full meeting of the new council on 21 May.

Decisions by that cabinet will have to be approved by full council, with all the other parties and independents able to outvote them.
