Tom supports the campaign to #upgradeA27now and says the following:
The A27 is the gateway to many of the jewels in Sussex’s crown. I am in full support of the proposal to upgrade the Polegate to Beddingham stretch of this road. These upgrades are long overdue in my humble opinion. The economic prosperity of town’s such as Eastbourne relies upon the continuing improvements to the local infrastructure, easy access is one of these. To see continued investment in towns such as Eastbourne, Polegate, Newhaven and Seaford.
These areas will be higher on the list for tourists and visitors alike, ensuring the visitor numbers to these fantastic areas are ever increasing. To see investment from the private sector needs investment from the public sector in many cases, this being one of them.
Upgrades to the A27 is a necessity, the people of Sussex have spoken out in support of this campaign, I sincerely hope that the Minister for transport is listening to our requests and actions them as soon as is viable.
