Sovereign Harbour currently has an hourly bus service serving North and South Harbours (although residents in developments close to Pevensey Bay Road are able to benefit from the frequent 'Wave' service 99 into and out of Eastbourne Town Centre. The long awaited Harbour Bus Gate which we have campaigned for over many years now, will be delivered along with the regeneration of the Harbour Retail Park in the near future and will make a big difference, enabling Stagecoach to double frequencies of the number 51.
However, I have recently received a number of complaints about service 51. Most concerns appear to be about regular late running and occassional failure to show completely. I shall be arranging to meet the local Operations Manager in the near future to discuss residents' concerns but before I do this, I wondered how many more residents may have experienced problems.
