An array of photography from local enthusiasts give a genuine and authentic Eastbourne flavour, including stunning images of Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park – all found on Eastbourne’s doorstep.

This year we’re really celebrating our unique location and building on an Olympic year with more cultural and sporting events than ever before. From cycling, triathlons and the AEGON International tennis to contemporary art and a fast jet airshow, we’ve got it all, including a great selection of top shows direct from London’s West End.

Brand new this year, is a double page spread on the cosmopolitan Sovereign Harbour with its superb waterside restaurants and boutique shops, and for the kids Eastbourne offers a fantastic range of family attractions from zoos, theme parks and a miniature railway to the south east’s first water park.

The 56 page glossy guide includes themed spreads celebrating Eastbourne’s many highlights. From stunning, clean beaches along the five mile seafront and iconic Victorian Pier to the dramatic cliffs at Beachy Head, Eastbourne is an ideal location for both domestic and international visitors as a central gateway to the natural beauty of the South Downs National Park and the historic castles and battlegrounds of the 1066 Countryside.
Featuring powerboat adventures, paragliding, tennis and cycling treks, there are plenty of adventure sports and thrills to enjoy, or more leisurely activities include golf, fishing and historic walking tours.
Eastbourne’s rich culture and heritage scene is awash with theatrical and visual arts venues, galleries and historical gems including a fully functioning 1930’s Bandstand which hosts a musical medley of concerts throughout the year.
With a round up of gastronomic delights from traditional Sussex cream teas to seafood and elegant dining at the double rosette winning Mirabelle restaurant, the guide also features ideas for retail therapy and luxurious pampering amongst Eastbourne’s main shopping centre and historic and artistic shopping streets of Little Chelsea.
An 18 page accommodation section displays more than 90 properties, from England’s only 5 star luxury seaside hotel to small and friendly guest houses and exclusive harbourside apartments. The guide features a brand new town map illustrating attractions and central facilities, along with a larger resort map for finding accommodation.
Visitors can browse the guide on the go using a smartphone app, and a new mobile website m.visiteastbourne.com will enable visitors to book accommodation, find out what’s on today and search for attractions and local businesses nearby.
