Find out why Harbour residents Hugh & Ros Lashmore-Lloyd support the campaign to #upgradeA27now

Retired Sovereign Harbour residents, Hugh & Ros Lashmore-Lloyd use the A27 regularly to visit friends and family and support the campaign to upgrade the A27 because:

"In a nutshell the A27 from Eastbourne to Lewes is a dangerous and hazardous road for the motorist. After the fast moving drive from London on the motorways, the motorist on leaving the Brighton turning and heading home to Eastbourne, you imagine you are on the last leg of the journey but not a bit of it. After brightly lit dual carriageways to Lewes, tension mounts as you grit your teeth and hope you make it safely back to Eastbourne. From Lewes, the A27 is unlit in places, undulating, winding and narrow with speeding oncoming traffic battling for road space. Lack of visibility is a well known hazard to add to the dangers of the road itself and low level mist descending from the downs at times adds to the danger. If Eastbourne is to thrive and become an up and coming town as man of us would like, this road needs to be improved without further delay".

If you agree with Hugh & Ros, please sign our e-petition to upgrade the A27 now and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to do so too by clicking on the following link: http://ow.ly/1RaKls and if you'd like to share your view on why this upgrade is so important, please feel free to e-mail Cllr Patrick Warner at councillor.warner@eastbourne.gov.uk
