Magnificent Motors Returns With 10th Anniversary of South Coast’s Biggest Motoring Spectacular

Magnificent Motors is famously one of the biggest FREE motoring spectaculars on the South Coast and it returns on 4 – 5 May for the 10th time with a dazzling anniversary display of over a century of motoring.


Returning to the show’s original seafront venue after two years in the park, Eastbourne’s Western Lawns will welcome back over 600 vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, buses and more at the two day festival.


This year there is a great collection of motors, and much to celebrate including two days of seafront cavalcades with live entertainment, fairground rides and a magnificent drive-in movie night showing classic car film ‘The Italian Job’.

Around 400 motors are expected to join the seafront cavalcades over the two days, kick-starting the celebration each morning.
 
 
The festival which is jointly organised by Eastbourne Borough Council, Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club and East Sussex Omnibus Society regularly attracts over 600 classic and vintage vehicles, including cars, motorbikes, scooters, buses, military, commercial vehicles and new boys; MX5 club will be bringing 30 amazing vehicles from around the region. In addition there will be the Continental market close by and later on in the evening a showing of classic car movie, ‘Italian Job’ at the drive in.

The spectacular is supported by some great entertainment and Michael Hinch starts it off at 11.15 Saturday morning. To follow there are acts such as Natterjack, Martyn Wong and Tim Joss, Tourle Brothers, Dirty Martini Swing, Audio 6, Faye and Ben, Dub N Tuff Allstars, Jack and Josh and Cold Shot, along with the return of old favourites like Lone Star Club with their fantastic collection of American classics.

The event will bring over a century of motoring and anyone can sign up to display their car.

Tickets for the drive in movie can be bought at Eastbourne theatres box office and are £15 per car, passenger numbers not to exceed seatbelts. Walk in tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm showing of the film on Saturday 4 May.

The drive in will also be running some great competitions! The first is the Italian Job Mini Show and Shine. Owners can pimp their minis to the style of Italian Job era. 1st prize is two tickets to the Beer and Cider by The Sea with £10 beer tokens.

The second is a Michael Caine look-a-like competition where the best will win two tickets to Cirrus rooms Hospitality area at Airbourne.
