Find out why Eastbourne resident Ray Blakebrough supports the campaign to #upgradeA27now

Retired National Sales Manager for Johnson & Johnson who now volunteers for Age Concern supports the campaign to upgrade the A27 trunk road between Polegate and Beddingham.

Ray has travelled all over the UK in his time on business and revealed that the A27 is so bad, he very nearly moved away from Eastbourne because of the poor road links and dangerous conditions. Ray said "coming home late at night, especially during winter, the road is awful with its poor surfaces, deceptive bends and bad lighting".

I am sure that Ray's experience is not unusual but just as residents who use the road get frustrated, just think of the volume of people who don't get to visit our wonderful town and businesses who won't take Eastbourne and the surrounding area seriously as a location, thereby limiting the potential of our local economy and keeping the average earnings of local people suppressed.

If you feel strongly about the need to upgrade this road and are prepared to share your views in order to help generate e-petition signatures, please e-mail me at councillor.warner@eastbourne.gov.uk

If you haven't yet signed the e-petition, please click the following link http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/42147 and please don't forget to ask your friends, family and colleagues to do the same.
