Ed Milliband couldn't have achieved the PM's EU budget deal, he would not have been able to stand up to Hollande

David Cameron is to be congratulated for playing a blinder on Europe.

Even Ed Balls can barely fault him.

But as Labour absurdly claim credit for forcing the PM to seek cuts in Brussels, ask yourself this:
Would Ed Miliband have worked through the night, fuelled by espressos and Haribos, to secure a better deal for Britain and stick two fingers up to Francois Hollande?

Or would he have rolled over and stitched up a deal with his French Socialist pal to keep the status quo?

Last November Mr Cameron was isolated in defying the EU.

His ability since then to forge an alliance with the Germans, Dutch, Danish and Swedes gives us real hope that he CAN reclaim major powers for Britain before his promised 2017 in/out referendum.

It ought also to give pause to eurosceptics whose vote for UKIP will let in a Labour Government that WON’T give them their day at the ballot box.
